The vision and dedication of our founder, Mr. Pradeep Mahapatra, a pivotal figure in Odisha’s Handloom Sector, have been instrumental in bringing this organization to life. Since its inception, DBPCL has been committed to producing high-quality handloom fabrics through its members, affiliated societies, and production agents, while creating robust market opportunities for their exquisite products.

Our primary mission is to preserve and promote the world-famous Sambalpuri technique of tie and dye (IKAT) in handloom, a craft that reflects the rich cultural heritage of Odisha. As a leading institution in the state, DBPCL is dedicated to the upliftment of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and economically disadvantaged communities, including women, by fostering large-scale rural employment and supporting traditional artisans.
